China denies rumours of Sars cases
BEIJING - China denied that Sars had resurfaced in a statement issued yesterday to clarify what it called 'hearsay' after the World Health Organisation (WHO) sent a letter demanding to know what was going on.

The Health Ministry said there had been no confirmed or suspected cases in mainland China since the last two Sars patients were discharged from a Beijing hospital on Aug 16, Xinhua news agency reported.
