There's a choice of scenarios, both of which can result in rebellion:

1) we get no terrorist incidents before '04

2) we get another major terrorist incident in the next 12 months (e.g., an "October Surprise")

In either case if fascist legislation increases and investigations continue to be stonewalled, there will be rebellion in the streets. It doesn't matter how poor people are if gov't crime is not stopped, witness the 1960s, when street demonstrations included all demographics.

The costs to the economy of tax cuts, terrorism, and war is escalating, but the worst is exporting of jobs, which causes reduction in prosperity, education, health and lifespan, and measurable increase in disease.

That may not be the worst effect for long. If Ashcroft's recent warning is correct, there could be several million Americans lost in the next few months.
