Well that gives the lie to your phoney responses to Karen!! It also shows how limited is your knowledge of the law! INNOCENCE is never granted as a fact. It is presumed in order to put the overriding onus upon the accuser(s) to prove the converse. This places the burden upon the accuser rather than the defense. There is a legal presumption of innocence. A guilty (responsible) party remains so regardless of any legal presumption. If I am guilty of killing the swan I am guilty whether the swan talks or not. The law cannot assign an actual innocence to me. The law cannot alter reality. It may however assign a presumptive innocence to me which will translate into "not guity" (but NOT into innocence--should reasonable doubt not be overcome. Try to figure it out in your little corner over there...
