Also wrote some months ago that my port was a buy and forget through... but will try to trade in and out some. Held it from Oct-Nov last year, but March was very painfull. Will try to sell around the top (and be out for an unexpected rally <ng>). Easy part of a trade is to take profits, smarter is to let the winners run. Hardest part is to differenciate between a consolidation and a breakdown. Am not there yet. Cycles and waves: should only be used (as long as they work, seen some indications that the 8-week trend is strated to be used in trading, so, fugged about it). I currently have Gann emblem up (144 and 182 calendar days) and , 8-week up, on the 4-month up, within 6 months up. If September is up, this would confirm the synchronization of the waves. But as these waves are statistics.... an external event (as Mr. market <vbg>) may occasionnaly be contrary to the stats. Statisticians will call such an event as the exception confirnming the rule. LOL. Have to work a bit on the Gann time series, and find a tool that would work on other charts (silver, metals, HUI, ...). I expect that (as far as I calculate) in October, the 6 month POG wave will be down, as the 4-month/8-week. This does not excludes that prices still can go higher, marking an IT through at the anniversaries. This through could be higher than today. Combination of down waves could only be a lower rate of change. More work to do. <g> Still have CNI in full. Should lighten up some, and buy other nickels (but hate to chase prices) or even diversified majors. Next up move I expect on CNI will be the expected metallurgical results in November, unless PR relations dpt gratifies us with some upbeat news. If not, I wouldn't exclude C$9-9.3 in the near term. Waiting for this shortened week of the new market season to end. I think that next mid-week's action will be more representative of the market trends.
