Kerry, said he was going to run for the big job. You can hear excerpts from the speech, which took place Tuesday in South Carolina in front of the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, in the audio links below – but I’m warning you, my friends, this was 100% pathetic. This guy tries to safely occupy both sides of every position known to exist. He tries to have it both ways on every issue. He hates Bush, and he wanted that known. He's angry, and he wanted that known. He's French-looking - he didn't say that, but everybody knows it. He's a veteran. He said that, as though he hasn't said it before. You can listen to the links below, but here’s a basic summary of Kerry’s speech: More government spending for universal health care, prescription drugs for all seniors regardless of wealth, increased federal spending on education - somehow lowering the deficit among all this - and on the foreign front he’s going to abide by the demands of the French and the Germans and every dictator from every banana republic with a vote in the UN. This is the richest man in the Senate, so it's no wonder he's so out of touch. This guy thinks America wants and needs to subordinate foreign policy to the UN, spend like a drunken sailor, and claim to lower the deficit at the same time even though spending is what causes deficits. It really all comes down to Iraq, folks. These guys like Kerry, Howard Dean and the rest of them haven't the slightest idea what's really going on over there. They haven’t the slightest idea what our presence means. They disagree with us being there, because they truly don't know why we liberated that nation. It’s literally scary to think about these people in charge. It is almost incomprehensible to me. There was one sentence in Kerry’s speech that really cemented how this party and its leaders cannot even approach honesty when it comes to political assessment. Here they are seeking higher office, and that's fine, here they want the White House back, and that's fine - but they can't approach it honestly. This one line is the most radical in its untruth that I've seen in a while. "I reject George Bush's radical new vision of government that comforts the comfortable at the expense of ordinary Americans." We are spending more money on "ordinary" Americans than ever before. Ordinary Americans are not left out of anything. Ordinary Americans are getting tax cuts. Ordinary Americans are featured in this administration. This is pure, 100% drivel. This is bilge, complete cud. This is so 180-degrees out of phase, but it's red meat for his extreme kook Democrat audience that has it in their heads that the only reason there are successful people in this country is because George W. Bush and people like him come along, rob the middle class and the poor, and somehow give that money to the rich, and that's how the rich get rich. They really believe that. rushlimbaugh.com
