Apparently, we will pay for it, and our children, and our grandchildren, etc, etc.

The rest of the world does not look at the UN with the same disdain as the neocons. Until we realize that we need to work with other nations, and not just try to lead them by the nose, we'll continue to have the disasters of Iraq and Afghanistan.

That is the clear cold fact that Bush is trying to digest at this moment, although I'm sure it sticks in his craw.
