There is always a sceptical attitude toward candidates.
Name one election when people weren't griping "Why doesn't so and so run instead?" or "these guys are 7 dwarves"? Whatever. Clinton was a "dwarf". Reagan was a "radical". Carter was a "redneck nobody". GW Bush had no experience.
In the end, John Kerry will probably win and his stature will be undeniable. Clark? WHo knows if he's even running or if can pass muster? People just like fresh faces. Then later on, they question them too.
