Sorry, I dont know of one. I am not a big fan and frankly the statistics stuff bores me. I grew up liking sports because I saw how it helped kids develop character. I was always attracted to the old cliches like, "it's not whether you win or lose that matters, it's how you play the game."

I don't see that idea valued much in modern times. In fact it is mocked more often than not. I don't see good-sportsmanship encouraged in youth either. Everybody is out looking for natural "talent." My attitude is who gives a hoot about talent. It's what you do with what you are born with that matters. I hate stadiums too. I find stadium sports to be the most demeaning aspect of our culture. Raw rha rah...and all that.

It's been quite some time since I've looked in and I see familiar discussions by the same discussants. Amazing.

Thank you for having memory of longer than a couple of months, and for your directness where my own "saying no" debacle is concerned.

Writing and graduate school are going very well. I can't be more pleased. And I can't wait to catch up next week!
