REALITY CHECK Scott, you and Solon (with reference to Adi Da): -- have never met him -- have never heard him speak -- have never read a book of his -- are forming your opinions based on hearsay, gathered on the Internet -- bring your own preconceptions and bias to the equation AND, in contrast, I -- have met him many times, for long periods of time over 18 years -- have heard him speak extemporaneously on a huge variety of subjects -- have read all or virtually all of his 50+ published books, and also studied them in depth. Prior to my encounter with Adi Da I spent about 20 years studying other Spiritual traditions, so I am in a position to compare. -- am forming my opinions based on personal experience -- bring my own preconceptions and bias to the equation and I am the guy who believes the world is flat (in your characterization of me) Aren't you guys a little lost in your OWN world of opinions and conceptions, without any hard-core everyday reality connection? Or are you such superior folks that you just KNOW all by your lonesome selves EVERYTHING about ANYBODY and don't need anything else? Namaste! Jim
