Yes, it's probably better here than other places. As to options, it depends on how you define options. In theory, there are always options, even if you're in prison. In reality, for many people, genuine and reasonable options can be hard to come by, particularly when you realize that if you quit your job at a small company the boss you refused to service is going to be called for a reference by any potential future employer.
