Ted, First, he's not running for office.

He's campaigning for Davis, so he's obviously still accepted within the liberal political circles. And it seems Davis is taking Clinton's advice seriously:

He is just coming back......for years, no one would have anything to do with him. He's had his office in Harlem and his guest speaking and that was that. The Dems. told him to stay away from Gore in 2000. The GOP ridiculed him every chance they could. You only had to take one look at him to know he had been kicked in his face.

When things were not going well for Bush re Iraq, Clinton publicly offered his help and publicly was told to get lost. Its not ununusual for the former president to advise the current president.....no one bothered to ask Clinton because he was considered a loser.

Its changing now........Davis asking for help from Clinton is a sign that Clinton's fortunes are turning. He was not nearly the loser that some people tried to make him out to be. He's a brilliant man with a lot to offer.

they have complained about his behavior ever since Monica.

No, they haven't, except in a token sense, and only accompanied with attacks on those "evil right-wing partisans." (As usual, the first rule of partisan politics.)

Oh my God, where have you been? He has been the butt of so many jokes. I have never seen someone so trashed. And if you still doubt it, read back some of the posts from last year on this thread.

Compare this with the protesters against Ah-nuld. They are doubting that his group sex escapade in Venice Beach was consensual, and they are assuming the recent harassment allegations made by some reporters against Ah-nuld must be true beyond a reasonable doubt. A far cry from the Clinton supporters who reacted silently and cautiously when the Jones and Lewinsky scandals came to the forefront.

First, Arnold's past behavior makes it clear he wasn't planning to run for office. And frankly, he sounds like a fraternity boy run amok. However, how is his trashing any different from the one Clinton got for his sex. escapades or the one Bush got re. his drinking? I think you may be too sensitive on this issue. Getting trashed for your bad boy behavior is par for the course when you run for office.

Seems like the big difference between Arnold and Clinton is that Clinton was doing it while he was married and in office.
