Bush is in trouble, so are we headed for trouble?

Scientists, Economists, Researchers & Analysts in almost any field of endeavour, and Politicians, alike all seek to find patterns or trends. To discover the patterns in nature, in mathematics, and in behaviour, is to provide insights and information that experts and observers use to predict or forecast the most probable future events.
Have you noticed a re-occuring pattern associated with the Bush Regime? I have. I've observed that whenever Bush is faced with difficulties, problems, and/or low popularity-- something horrible happens in this country (& the entire world) destroying innocent people, but taking the "heat" off Bushy-boy, and diverting the public's attention onto some unforeseen disaster, such that we are terrified if we don't rally-around him, because otherwise we'll all be wiped out! The Bush Regime have engineered an almost pavlovian reaction of fear in America that intimidates us from revolting against their atrocities.
Bush is currently is headed for trouble, as a sleepy American public awaken to the horrific consequences of his (1) outlandishly obscene tax cuts for the corporations & the rich, causing financial hardship to the many, (2) guerrilla quagmire in Iraq with a heavy death toll and no end in sight, and, (3) callous track-record on health care & the environment. The Bush Regime have dishonestly enacted damaging domestic & foreign policies regarding all of the above, based upon lies, deceptions & outright swindling of the American People (& the World), to enrich their corporate cronies.
So, my question is this: Since Bush is Headed for Trouble, Are We in Store for Another Terrorist Attack on America?
The very idea seems unthinkable ... it certainly is politically incorrect to even raise the question: but reflect upon the pattern: Every time Bush's popularity ratings slump, something horrible happens to the U.S.A.:
(1) In the summer of 2001, Bush was headed back to a Congress that questioned his energy policies, having watched a shockingly phony energy shortage staged by Cheney's buddies, that cost California consumers (& others), scammed out of billions of dollars-- enriching Enron and others ... whose corrupt executives took-the-big-money-and-ran. Stories were about to break regarding Bushy-boy's best buddy, Kenny-boy (Enron) Lay and other corporate swindlers who stole corporate assets, pension funds & jobs from workers.
Then ... ooopppsss ... 9/11 happened! Bush's luck changed! The Energy Swindle was wiped off the radar ... The Corporate Scams (Bush's Harken Oil) were also wiped off the radar. Bush's ratings soared as a terrified public rallied around Bush-- hell, they would have rallied around Hitler! End of Act 1.
(2) Bush invaded Afghanistan in October 2001, in the hopes (sic) of finding Osama bin Laden, but Osama whose family is linked to the Bush Family & the Saudi Royal Family, wasn't found. Bush had roared about Osama: "We'll get 'im, dead or alive": Well, they didn't. Afghanistan was invaded, countless thousands of innocent Afghan people were massacred. Some sort of bizarre "victory" was declared anyway.
Afghanistan was left with atrocious political and societal wounds, and the lack of support to re-build their government and infrastructure, as had been promised (sic) by the Bush Regime represents a tragic betrayal of a war-torn people. In the aftermath of the US invasion, the Afghan warlords have taken-over the country and are brutalizing the people. Other nations around the world have learnt-the-hard-way, that Bushy-boy's word ain't as good as gold, but is as good as used toilet paper.
Thus, nothing is left in Afghanistan except disaster, poverty, and destruction, thanks to the Bush Regime. Afghanistan is in a shambolic state, a tragic mess that humanitarian groups are desperately trying to clean-up. The Bushies are good at breaking things (yum, yum, "sexy" & easy) ... they are bored by the difficult job of creating things (oh, oh, so many boring details ... you need brains, integrity & wisdom: no wonder they can't do it)... so the Bush Regime moves on. End of Act 2.
(3) For the Bush Regime, the "sexy" time is just prior to the November 2002 mid-term elections: Saddam Hussein, the Monster of the Middle-Eastern World, suddenly rises up ... he must have caused 9/11, he must have WMDs, he must want to destroy us all ... Why would Saddam Hussein want to destroy us? As Bush said: 'Cause we're good & love freedom ... And he's evil & hates freedom. Come on, who but the "dumbest-of-the-dumb" could buy such imbecilic, childish screed? As Karl Rove (Bush's Brain) gambled: Most Americans. Amazingly, Rove was right!
Like Dumb Sheep following the Idiot Sheep off-the-cliff, most Americans were willing to collaborate and support the corrupt Bush Regime, even into an immoral and illegal incursion into Iraq, based upon a dossier of lies. Those who questioned those lies, like the French, Germans, Russians, Chinese, and, indeed, most of the United Nations, were all demonized, insulted, coerced, and, treated in an infamous manner.
So, Big Strong Macho-Men ("arm-chair" "chicken-hawks" who were AWOL during Vietnam), Wage an Illegal & Immoral & Unnecessary Incursion into Iraq in March 2003 ... They all bragged "Mission Accomplished!" after Saddam Hussein was toppled as though a great victory had been achieved (when the USA over-spent Iraq on military by over 400 times each year for over the last 10 years!). There must have been no room in the White House or Pentagon to move, with all those puffed-up peacock chests filling all available space. End of Act 3.
Act 4? Another Terrorist Attack to divert public attention away from the Bush Regime's lies, deceptions and corrupt activities?
Bush's Brains are Spin-Meisters using Goebbles play-book: Lie, lie, lie, and the more you repeat the lie, the more the People will believe you. If you also manage to intimidate the Media & Press into being compliant cheer-leaders, and dominating Congress to carry-out your orders like good soldiers-- You've Hit the Trifecta: Slavish Population, Puppet Media & Press, & Stooge Congress-- Who could ask for more?
Consider the Bush Regime's continued arrogance:
AlterNet reports on (http://www.alternet.org ):
"Print journalists not allowed"
It seems that the Attorney General does not allow print reporters into his press conferences (TV only, please) as part of his traveling "We Love the Patriot Act" roadshow. Ten-second sound bytes, of course, do a much better job of selling irrational fear than a 2000-word article.
What is Ashcroft afraid of? (Too many prying eyes, too many probing questions, and, too many quotations (lies) coming back and haunting them in the future.) Who the hell is Ashcroft to deny press access, anyway? The Bush Regime don't own the USA, but are Servants of the People of the United States of America. Why isn't the Media & Press outraged? Why isn't the Congress pursuing an investigation into the Bushies' lies, deceit & criminal behavior?
The Bush Regime will resist inquiry and use intimidation tactics so long as the Media & Press fail to inform the People on the gravity of the mess we're in, and so long as Congress fails to do its duty.
Bush, Cheney & Rice have stonewalled any questions regarding (1) their secret meetings with the Energy goons, who raped the consumers by staging a phony shortage in the summer of 2000, and have gone on to make a fortune in their Iraqi war, (2) Cheney's bizarre, unprecedented visits to the CIA prior to the Iraqi war, in which he allegedly intimidated CIA agents into giving him the answers he wanted (even if they were unfounded lies), and, (3) their knowledge of intelligence leading up to 9/11, and, leading up to their incursion into Iraq.
The entire Bush Regime is seen amongst conscientious and enlightened minds, as a brutish, corrupt, thuggish gang of power-hungry ideologues, lusting for riches and willing to create havoc in their hubris to achieve their ends. Their contempt for the rule of law and truth is reminicent of George Orwell's prediction of a neo-fascist state in his masterpiece "1984". |
