If this were done under a Dem president, with your present political convictions, you would be over the top. It is definitely too early to do such a film. It will be seen as only fodder for the political campaign. There is, in my view, definitely a story to be told here. Whether it's a good movie or not is hard to say. But now is definitely not the time. The Times is right.

The "Times", of course, is never happy if Bush is shown in a favorable light. Ken Burns tends to "monotone" me to death.

I wonder, though, if GWB will rail at the "revisionism" in the script?
Probably not.
