He said the police had identified 12 people responsible for the attack, four of whom were under investigation, five had reportedly absconded and three were killed during the attack. IG Saddal said the gang was based in Mastung where they planned various terrorist activities including a few in Quetta and Sibi in which more than 70 people were killed. He said the gang was also involved in the murder of 12 police recruits on June 8, the murder of four Hindus at Patel Bagh on February 8 and the murders of policemen Abdul Ghafoor Hazara and Niaz Kazmi. He said the four gang members being investigated were Shamim Ahmad, Muhammad Qasim, Muhammad Jan, and Abdul Waheed. The three terrorists who were killed were identified as Muhammad Khan, Noor Ahmad and Abdul Shakoor. Mr Saddal said the gang used a Mastung doctor’s clinic as their headquarters. During interrogation, the suspects said Muhammad Gul and Ghulam Haider were planning campaigns against Shia leaders. These names turned out to be fictitious, Mr Saddal said, adding that actually Usman Saifullah and Daud Badini were the main activists who had planned the attack.dailytimes.com.pk
