It’s my belief that we here in the UK maybe have much to learn from China. For example, I read in a newspaper some time ago about a Chinese tribe of people who live in some highlands that live to about 150 years old or something like that. They work hard all day long in the fields as farmers and drink a fairly high amount of alcohol. They have a tradition where they make themselves a coffin in what we would call middle age (still young for them) and user it as a seat at the dinner table. Quite often the “seat” gets worn out over the decades and they have to make a second or even a third coffin.

I do hope the modern Chinese economy is not disturbing this ancient and successful way of life! It must be preserved for future generations to study. I hope you have an appropriate amount of unbiased qualified statisticians carrying out a detailed survey of this Chinese highland tribe, it may need replicating world wide!! -g-
