I don't want to sound entirely ignorant of ancient Greek history but seem to remember that archaeology has proven that they incorporated Egyptian theology, temples, pyramids and gods into their beliefs also. Considering that the Cosmologists say the universe is 37 billion years old, who knows what civilizations rose and fell that perhaps reached the state of knowledge that we now have. Today, scientists are upset because black energy and hidden objects do no follow any mathematical formula known to man and they are considering that we may live in a flat, parallel universe that contains many sub universes that our senses cannot detect. Seems God is not ready to reveal the dimensions that He created. Boy, this could start a whole world of believers if they only had the instruments to detect those dimensions! Sorry I couldn't comment on your stoic story but I have not followed that root of history. James
