one prudent suggestion i heard about shorting the spx : too late to buy, too early to sell, if you want to short, wait for 1080-1100 on the spx

i tried "pooting" intc and C for september and almost for sure the poots are gonna be worthless...

jims, what gold shares do you see as "keepers" here ?

Watch the candlestick formation on the leader, NEM, tomorrow. Last 5 days have featured two hammers and, as of Friday, the formation of a possible evening star. All that indecision and a negative formation (if it forms) tomorrow looks like a guarantee for a visit to the 50 dma, at least. At that point, chances are pretty good that I'll be a very ST buyer. On the other hand, if NEM heads up tomorrow, it looks like $41 is in the bag, at a minimum.
