Shawn....I am not of a political persuasion of one side or the other. Right now I am very happy that we have a president that espouses a personal testimony of salvation in Christ. I know President Clinton was a regular attender of church. The natural eyes know not those of the kingdom of God, by looking upon the outward appearance of a man. The only way to know is by the discernment of the spirit. It leaves many questions when we have had a minister in Florida just put to death this week without repentance for killing two people at an abortion clinic, or Eric Rudolph bombing an abortion clinic and killing one person. We know we must do 'something' but as to where we should draw the line is an open ended question, debatable 'ad nauseaum'. Who leads a nation down the wrong path , whose responsibility is it ...the king , the president, the religious leaders, community leaders....sadly it all comes from within God's own people who HE calls by name...if we would but humble ourselves and pray , and seek God's face ,,i.e. that intimate encounter with God , the nation would be turned around, along with the judges and the politicians, and leaders,,,I must repent of this myself for I am not without transgression....I am teaching on the conditions of kingdom responsibility tomorrow in my Sunday school class tomorrow, along with the parable of the sower and how the seeds are consumed or wasted or fall on soil not properly prepared,,,,,the wayside is where the most seed is wasted...and where the foul eat or consume the seed...the birds represent satan and how the enemy will immediately consume the sown seed...this is the enemies first line of attack......well...off to finish preparing my lesson....gregor
