Arnie, VASO and CDIC do have a small relationship, but their fates are not tied and VASO's fundamentals aren't in the same ballpark as CDIC'S, but you asked about the technicals, so I'll stick to that area.

VASO's chart:

For a buy and hold play, its clear that VASO has been downtrending since early 2000 and is now near well established lows established before the high of 2000. Simple chart finance.yahoo.com
VASO has to get over 1.50 to beat the downtrend.

Short term, it's a nice trade. As explained above, it's got support from lows established in 1999 and it's got room to run to it hits resistance from the downtrend at 1.50.
Using the moving avgs., you see support at the 200 day MA and first resistance at the 50 day MA.

Have fun Arnie.
