What's a little mistake that involves the invasion of a sovereign nation? Surely that's no big deal.

I wonder if our government can get any worse. I hope not, but since I have no faith in their planning ability, no faith in their practicality, and no faith that they are rational, I suspect things could get a lot worse before they get better.

I hope not. Maybe things will work out. But the future on the international front looks rather dismal right now.

The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, did not know whether any evidence showed that Iraq had actually produced weapons or whether it simply had plans to do so.

I don't know how recently they had any, but they surely did have gas back when they gassed thousands of Kurds.
