i guess what we're looking for is a rescue disk or emergency repair disk that will fix registry corruption (like the win2000 disk) and fix boot sector corruption (like what gottfried has been talking about.

these KAV rescue disks are not majorly impressing me so far today as i have encountered a couple probs with being unable to open certain bases files, and also with not being able to view the contents of the boot floppy after creation

i'm going to create that six disk set of xp setup boot disks and call it a day, rescue-wise anyway
