What I think is they should declare the f'in electrical grid and the power supply a matter of national security and screw the god damn regulators right up the ass. Look at what CC Myers did after the SF quake in 1994. He repaired the friggin Santa Monica Freeway in 66 days. Officials had predicted that it would take between 12 and 18 months to rebuild it. If bureaucracy will simply get out of the way, we can build cheaply, quickly and safely.
