"The only way we will fail in this country is if we decide to walk away in Iraq and fight the next battle on the war on terrorism in America.

Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, held to his position that more American troops are not needed.
"There is no risk at the tactical, operational or strategic level," Gen. Sanchez said at the same news conference. "The only way we will fail in this country is if we decide to walk away in Iraq and fight the next battle on the war on terrorism in America.

<<>>Romans use to defend the borders of Rome at Danube, they called that strategy as external defense of ‘Roman empire’ it worked perfectly well against the northern vandals, the withdrawal of external defense and recalling of the legionnaires into Rome set the course of fragmentation and weakening of the empire.

The vandals are at our doors again, the external defense of America a nation economically out of 'default and design' at the centre stage of the world needs ‘external defense’ it is not empire building rather it is reaching to the hinterland and core of the enemy who is bent to destroy a 'global society that is based on toleration and mutual respect.' Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, in one line above describes the war in Iraq more than adequately.Ike
