its more like a 1-2 thousand per working person in the US, assuming children, non-working elderly, the disabled, etc. will not contribute. Do you know what we could do if each working person ponied up $1200 for infrastructure in this country? We could insure the 40 million uninsured, for one thing. I'd rather provide healthcare for the US vs. iraq.
