The mainstream IS the mainstream press, whatever you want to call it. All of them except part of Fox and thre Washington Times.

The press responds to reality and public opinion. They sided with Bush while he was spinning his reasons to go to war. They allowed him to swipe the November elections. Now they all know he's full of it and the public is fed up, so they're finally telling us the truth. That's not liberal, that's just common sense. 29% support for Bush means moderates and some conservatives have also seen through the Emperor With No Clothes or The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Take your pick. Along with cheney the man behind the curtain pulling the strings.
