That's interesting. I don't know of anyone who thought it was going to take less time, money and sacrifice than Bush called for last night. It seems to me everyone was warned up front that the global war on terror would take years -- 10, 20 maybe. I don't seem to remember anyone saying, last April, that it was only going to take six months to get out of Iraq. In fact, I seem to recall EVERYONE saying, "We don't know, but that's not the issue, it has to be done".

And you left out the part where on 1 May Bush said that major combat was over in Iraq. If you're going to rant, at least get in all the details.
