I Have To Take Issue

with his statement that "The character of the modern-day US business cycle may now be changing as never before."

The irresponsible, politically motivated, self serving monetary and fiscal policies currently being pursued could and should have been expected to have the exact impact on the economy that they are.

The fact that such policies do nothing to help improve the economy, and indeed hinder real economic growth, has been discussed and observed repeatedly thoughout history.
