SONE.... great pick! One of these forgotten names. We have a few of these in software, ENTU another one, once strong businesses which will probably return. Nobody is taking these markets as far as I know.

The big enterprise software is the only area I am negative on. Another interview with Larry Ellison in the SF Chronicle this weekend where he likened Silicon Valley going forward with Detroit. He made a lot of really stupid statements, I think he's just getting too old. He still looks good so people think he's still a visionary. All those babes help your body, but not your mind I'd say. The Mercury news quickly ran an unrelated story saying Larry was making a fool of himself (again).

Anyway, I have a little knowledge of the SCE pipelines which are outstanding, I have heard at least 1/3 more orders at AMAT than in 98 which was the last trough. That is a rumor, 1/3 more orders, because I don't know what 98 looked like. These pipelines today look outstanding, of course anything can happen and maybe these aren't real orders, also in boom times customers overbook.

What I think, but I'm not sure, is that in the chip area we are witnessing the china/india ramp. All those new employees getting hired in india need technology and bandwidth after all. Companies like applied are hiring 3x the indian staff they would ever have hired here just because their perception is that it is "so cheap". This is all infrastructure that needs to be builtout.
