Of course, Kerry was technically not lying. Our invasion of Iraq stimulates Al Qaeda, and thus it plays a vital role in preventing an end to the war on terror. Good Point. A very desirable scenario for those in the military industrial complex. An endless war on terror that feeds upon itself for survival. Ah, and their boy Bush just promised them another $80B or so last night. What a perfect situation for Bush's rich cronies in the defense industries. As if the $150 Billion that we're spending on Iraq couldn't be spent in a lot better ways right here at home in the U.S. of A. I've lived in the NYC area all of my life and the 2nd Ave subway has never been built due to a lack of funding. A measly $10 B would get the job done, a pittance compared to the money we're pouring down that rathole in Iraq. There's a flood control project in central New Jersey that has been stalled for 3 decades because of a lack of funding. There was a major flood five years ago that did $100Ms in property damage and killed a few people. Our priorities are all screwed up and have been for years. They need to spend that money right here at home to benefit all Americans.
