But comparing the two index's gives me what... the relative performance recently??? What about the value of the underlying stocks? Did you mean to say that 'the canadian index has outperformed recently making them less attractive than they were' rather than 'Canadian stocks are overvalued relative to US'???

No I don't doubt Canadian index has outperformed recently at all, it was my impression that it was is 'cheaper' than the S&P... wonder how what % one would expect the Canadian index to move up relative to S&P simply on the rise of gold?
