My five year old was talking with his grandma, and it was clear that he was confused about family relationships.

"So you're my Mom's grandma, right?"

"No, when I was younger, I had a little baby, and she grew up to be your Mom -- I'm her Mom."

He thinks on this for a minute: "So when I get older, and if I become a father, then Mommy will be a grandma?"

"That's right, and I'll be a great-grandma!"

"No you won't, you'll be dead."
