The whole terrorist story was used to justify taking the oil. We'll see how long it takes to give it to the Iraqi people. A decade? We need to be taking steps towards energy independance. Orca

Even last night Bush linked 9-11 and Saddam. Cleverly but distinctly, so he couldn't be caught in an exact lie, but the insinuation was clear. The war on terror. Terrorists. Harboring terrorists. Funding terrorism. Terrible weapons. Dictator. Terorist. Dictator. Terrorist. Taking the fight to the terrorists. All clear double-speak word games to try and fudge the two in the minds of the naive. They've been doing this ever since the beginning, calling the war on Iraq the war on terror. They are two separate wars though. Any real linkage is minimal. Yes Saddam started sending money to the Palestinian terrorists for PR purposes when we put pressure on him, but so did the Saudis, Bush's best buddies. Why not attack them? After all the Saudis are much more guilty for 9-11.
