The media has played into Bush's hands almost completely until this summer. The press's job though is not to cover up mistakes and lies, it's to expose them.

Therefore, when it became apparent what Bush had done, and how he had failed on every policy, the press had to report it. They had no choice. Even Fox is reporting some of it. It wouldn't be professional to ignore a 535 million deficit, 3.5 million out of work, covered ups on 911 and in the EPA, deceptions going into wars and the disasterous post-war situation due to poor planning.

Do you expect the press to work for Bush's campaign or work for us? Why can the right-wing dish it out so much but not take it? The right-wing has gotten almost everything it's wanted yet still they whine, howl, kick and scream every time someone points out the obvious, that thir policies dont work and that their leaders often lie and distort.
