I think the days of castrating republicans for any minor remark made about race or creed in this country are over. The hypocrisy has been exposed, and there are just too many examples of the same from the mouths of the dems.

What we've seen over the last months kind of makes Trent Lott's resignation as Senate leader last year seem trivial and unnecessary.
