9-11 was not just about Osama and Saddam, it was about a region of the world that just doesn't like us. Why don't they like us? 9-11 was about Osama and Al Qaeda, this is well documented. Saddam is a former US puppet, that got his strings tangled, just like the Shah in Iran. The US made Saddam and empowered Saddam. This might be the reason that some Iraqis and Iranians don't like the US. The opinion of the US in the middle east runs in a spectrum, just like the opinion of Bush here in the US is not homogeneous. We have been there less than 6 months, everyone wants instant gratification. It seems to me that instant gratification is the stock and trade of the Bush administration. Rather than work through diplomatic channels to gather a coalition, he orders a pre-emptive strike on Iraq. The American people have way more patience than Bush. Orca
