If I am not sure, I translate the sentence to Croatian and figure out which case to use - better than I is nominative so I is OK, but do something for me is accusative so "I" won't work.

Not a solution for everyone, I understand. And I don't think learning Latin is the answer when Americans are so far behind in foreign language proficiency. Much better to learn Spanish, French, Chinese, whatever.

Maybe a radical idea like just teaching grammar the way they used to.....

I don't understand why some tv anchors use "rightly or wrongly" blah blah blah. Why couldn't they have just said "right or wrong" you did whatever.
