mr. mark, Dell laptop HD replacement: the new HD arrived [was supposed to come tomorrow]. No instructions. I inserted it in the PC and tried to boot using my WinXP UPGRADE CD. It loaded a few things, then asked me to insert the Win98 CD to verify I owned a version previous to WinXP. I did, followed the prompts and now the WinXP upgrade CD is formatting the disk as NTFS. It also says the new [refurbished] HD is 19.077GB [old one was 10].

It has finished formatting and is now copying files.

Gottfried :)
