I didn't throw anything in, I merely copied relevant parts of posts.

Clearly, the terrorists were planning to destroy American cities, or do as much damage as possible, as in the case of 9/11. Clearly, Saddam had threatened highly destructive "pay back" for quite sometime, after the first Gulf War. We have found evidence of contacts between Al- Quaida and his regime, we just do not know (publicly, at least) if much cooperation had yet ensued. But it was, in fact, a credible threat, that Saddam might give biological or chemical agents to such a group.........
