Being a lifelong resident of the Bay Area, I can say, and without undue disrespect to Santa Cruz, that they are a light year to the left of even Berkeley...

But they have nice beaches.

:)

Local government to ask Congress to look into impeaching President Bush.

Once again local government seems blissfully unaware of their own state's aiding and abetting terrorism, fraud and illegal immigration.

Assemblyman Tom Harman

"Here’s the biggest question of all: In 1993, the legislature passed SB 976 by Democrat Senator Al Alquist. This bill, as detailed in the analysis, clearly states that the intent was to "require an applicant for an original drivers’ license or card to submit satisfactory proof that the applicant’s presence in the United States is authorized under federal law."

In other words, SB 60 invalidates the original SB 976, which was proposed, passed and signed into law well before any discussion about Proposition 187.

That bill passed the Assembly 57-15. The bill passed the Senate 24-2. Some of these legislators are still in Sacramento. Cruz Bustamante is now Lieutenant Governor, Bill Lockyer is now Attorney General, Delaine Eastin was the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and was replaced by Jack O’Connell. Richard Katz and Steve Peace are currently employed by Governor Davis. By supporting SB 60, they contradict their earlier support of this issue.

The same Democrats who ten years ago supported a bill tightening the requirements for obtaining a driver’s license just reversed themselves.

I’ll say it again: SB 60 is bad public policy that threatens our security, and many legislators took advantage of a weak Governor for their own political gain.

The irony is that Clinton can be impeached for a sexual affair that harms NO ONE and for what is truly DAMAGING and IMPEACHABLE to our country BUSH has not yet been IMPEACHED.

I have a hard time thinking of a worse president than BUSH:
(1) The economy is a disaster with 10% unemployment
when you include people no longer looking for work
(highest since the depression)
(2) We have the worst deficits in the history of our
country so that we can BORROW MONEY to pay the
WEALTHY.
(3) The World hates us and thinks our president is a
Buffon.
(4) We are flushing another $100 Billion dollars a year
down the toilet in IRAQ.
(5) We are in a country (IRAQ) trying to convince a
people whose culture has never before shown any
interest in a democracy to become a democratic
state.

BUSH is INCOMPETENT and 10 times worse than Gray Davis could ever be.
