Nadine, we have exchanged several notes on the Palestinian/Israel issue. Since those exchanges, we have seen many violent acts. I thought that the Bush peace plan was finally succeeding in creating a crack in the PLO with the Abu Mazen and Arafat situation. But then suddenly we have Ariel Sharon target the Hamas leaders thereby providing the Palestenians in general to rally behind Arafat and Hamas. I can just imagine some Palestenian leader telling the Palestenians: "See I told you that Israel was evil since their elected Govt. tried ti missile out the Hamas leadership." Instead, if Sharon had shown some patience and had someone like Mossad work on an internal revolt in Palestine, it would have been very effective.

Amnesty International and other NGOs

Simple mathematical formula for these people, Nadine.
