Man convicted of, as I recall, rape and murder, sentenced to death. Overturned. Retried by same prosecutor. Convicted, not to death row. Still protesting his innocence. Then after many years in jail actual rapist is identified positively by DNA evidence. Other man totally innocent. Could easily have been executed.

Turns out he wasn't even there. So what evidence could police have brought forward enough to convict? Was some manufactured? Created? Mishandled??? Article didn't say. Focus of article was how the innocent man was imprisoned only a few cells away from actual guilty person, who still didn't confess even though he knew the man who was wrongfully convicted for his crime.

But my issues are with the prosecution.
