I don't think it would be illegal to restrict one's clientel to just one gender, but if it were, the answer may be for him to choose another profession. There is no fundamental right to choose a profession which forces you into a conflict between law and conscience. The better example may be a rabid white supremecist who wants to run a motel but whose conscience won't allow him to rent rooms to blacks. Sorry, guy. If you're in the motel business, you have to rent rooms to blacks. If you don't want to rent rooms to blacks, find another job.
