<Begin was elected Prime Minister after 30 years as a law-abiding politician in the State of Israel.>

True. The laws of the State of Israel, the justice system of the Jewish State, never labelled Begin as a terrorist. Never made him justify his deeds in court, never made him spend a day in jail. He organized a campaign, to set off bombs in densely populated Arab areas, designed to cause the maximum possible civilian casualties, to terrorize the Arabs into leaving their homes and land. All of which was widely reported in Israeli media, and even admitted to by Begin. And this, according to the law of the land, was not a crime. Which says something awful, about Israeli law, and Israeli standards of justice. Lt. Calley spent a little time under house arrest, and never got elected President of the United States. Israel can't even match that meager standard of justice.
