Lots of things "could be true", but to take action on things, with no evidence that things are true, especially when that action is huge, is not very smart.

The fact that Americans think something "could be true", even though there is no evidence that these things are true, and in fact some evidence that they are not true, says quite a bit about the credulity (gullibility?) of the American people, and not much about anything else. imo
