Spent a little time in Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, Agra, and a monastery in SE India. Got into a monastery cellar, very mystical. My Indian contacts said that I could get in but not my Danish colleagues(they are white) so we waited until they went back to Denmark. The priests down there looked at me as if I didn't belong but nothing happened other than I got a red mark on my forehead. Pretty interesting as the experience confirmed in part my mother's religious thoughts. She was a theosophist.

OT: Tonite, I had a call from my parents in India. My dad is due for surgeery within 24 hours. Half my family is hindu, and half is Muslim. The entire family is with my parents.

Does that explain the lack of "hindu muslim" animosity, or does one beleive whats in the press ??
