Well it could be that the US becomes one huge investor class. We have the currency of record and the stock market for the world, at least for the time being. We certainly don't have the strongest economy in terms of growth, although we are better off than Europe. Japan a wildcard. I think we need to question our role as the "worlds policeman" or whatever the hell we are on defense issues. We just can't afford this. Maybe shift the tax burden to passive income if thats all we have going on.
