at some pt decisions have to be made with costs and ability (read that inability to pay). If I can't afford x$ for a quintuple bypass cause I smoked like a chimney and ate pizza every day every day of my life -- why do I deserve the bypass -- If I can't pay for the sucker -- tough luck, maybe I shoulda thought about what I was doing ... Insurance should be relegated to real catastrophe --- not cover office visits for a flu bug. The whole of America has been brainwashed into thinking medical treatment is some kinda right. Poppycock -- all that does is reduce the quality EVERYONE gets -- at the bottom and the top.
