The last 2issues, I think.go to Barnes and Noble, save your$ for retirement fund.
The India IT article was about pressures to move upmarket for the current leaders, The graph was interesting, 600-700K jobs and the breakdown into 3 sectors.Ofcourse the fact that programming jobs have held on is, phenomenal considering the state of the industry and is no doubt due to offshoring, as they have collapsed here.
There was also another article on Indian Drug companies - they have the intellectual firepower, and are targeting the US the largest market for drugs @45 billion/yr. Ofcourse USA's ace in the hole is lawsuits. Like they used to say about the auto industry - the Japanese hire a product designer, the americans hire more lawyers.
The income disparity article (in the Economist which is kind of establishment) speaks about the difference between top 20% and bottom 20%' share in various Industrial countries ofcourse it is widest here. Talks of both income and wealth.
Finally, I wonder if the US will evolve into a gigantic upscale suburb, for the richest, most talented of the world. There are millions of millionaires in the world, when HongKong went to the Chinese, many rich people of the world moved to Canada and US. Their bank will be around the corner in Bermuda, and they will go to Chile or Canada when their skills or wealth deteriorates - kind of like the Inuit going off to sit in the snow.
