Despite US hopes, Japan continues to weaken Yen

" Japanese reserves, excluding gold, now total $557 billion, up from $221 billion in 1997. Chinese reserves are up to $350 billion, from $140 billion in 1997. Taiwan's reserves are up to $182 billion from $84 billion in 1997. South Korea's foreign reserves have soared the most, rising 551 percent to $133 billion since 1997."

I can only wish that was true! But I feel forces from both sides basically neutralize any major changes in Yen's value vs $
