If I had an Arafat as a neighbor, I would build a fence, to separate us. But I would build the fence on my side of the property line. I would get a gun, and practice with it regularly, and maybe teach my wife and kids to use it, too. And I would make sure they understood very very clearly, that the gun is only to be used in self-defense.

But if I was a self-destructive fool, and built my fence on my neighbor's property, and took his trees, and his well, and half his living room, and then used my gun to try and hold onto the land I'd stolen, then I'd deserve whatever happened to me. My neighbor might not have been an Arafat before I did that, but after......
